Purchasing Your Cottage
In total there are fourteen cottages available for private purchase at Samoset Lodge. Each cottage is surveyed to approximately one acre, with 100 feet of shoreline. As there are fourteen cottages, as an owner, you become a stakeholder of the Corporation – a legal entity comprised of all fourteen cottage owners. Simply, you own a 14th of the whole, occupying and managing your own cottage and acre of land, on which you can do what you wish within the guidelines of the Corporation.
Advantages of purchasing a Samoset cottage:
- The purchase cost of one of our fourteen cottages is considerably less than the conventional purchase costs of cottage and accompanying acreage.
- The cost of maintenance of the ground is less and is the responsibility of the Corporation
- Samoset grounds are gated.
- As everyone has a vested interest in the property as a whole, there is a strong sense of community and pride.
